That is how I felt for most of this year. It is so cold. First the long winter now this less than pleasant "spring". On top of that our central heating is broken and was for the entire May. So I am in an out of having a cold, freezing without a jacket in the house and feeling down under most of the time.

So, therefore few buttons have been made and I am really sorry about that. I promise if it ever gets summer again, I will rectify that. For now I just did a complete update of all my listings. Finally, on the 1st as planned. Only this time I had a lot left overs from April.

Even though I am swapped with work, feeling down, I have no problem to update all my listings within the two month frame. I really wonder why some people have such a hard time with that.

[+] Vampires (General and Miscellaneous)
If such a wonderful listing gets removed, I just have no choice but to apply. Everyone who knows me is probably aware that I am a total vampire nut case and that in my opinion they are the best kind of ficitional characters being so diverse and adaptable.

Although, I very sad it got removed in the first place, but just in case I saved the members list so I can e-mail those who have their e-mail publically displayed should I get it. Maybe I am wrong but I feel this listing is getting lots of applications and I doubt that I will be chosen.

But if I am, I will see that I ask around if maybe someone would be interested in helping me adding more info to the site. I think it would be cool to show the diversity of vampire characters by sorting them into categories according to their abilities and general state. More classic undead vampires, modern vampires who are alive but infected with a virus etc.

I remember times when someone in all seriousness asked me questions about vampires while chatting that indicated that they were in x fandom and knew nothing about other types of vampires. Some even religiously refused to accept other types, like "No, vampires melt in sunlight ..." or "Vampires can turn into mist and animals" or "they can not ..."

Isn't that a depressing view considering that with a good (script)writer vampires can basically be anything and still basically be vampires?

An unexpected pearl showed up in the adoption section of the TFL messageboard: Kraven from Underworld.

There was no hesitation. Holding back was simply not possible. I know I already own the fanlisting for Erika and I am never going to give her up but that does not mean I can not be insanely fond of Kraven, too.

I guess sometimes I feel like a bit of a hog. Then again, I have nobody signing up for those fanlisting on my KIM list, and I know that some would not even have fanlistings if I did not kept them all. Like with the Lost Boys, I started with the fanlisting for the whole group. Then Marko and Dwayne were removed due to neglect. Those two were always my favs, I applied and got them. Then I was asked if I wanted to adopt Paul or else he would be closed. Naturally, I said yes. I guess the normal reaction would be to adopt the fanlisting for the group out.

But I guess a) nobody ran the listing before I opened it, b) I see so many listings being neglected, closed or adopted out - I hate to see this happening to a fanlisting for a subject so important to me.

I know where my priorities are, I just love running fanlistings. It is somehow important to me to - especially with older fandoms or characters I adore just as much now as I did back when the fandom they are from was big news.

Oh well, aren't I contemplative today?

This time I did not stop to check for dead urls and to update all my listings (126 at the moment) I needed less than 30 minutes. Of course I always update members who join within 24 hours, so it was just a click, click, click thing.

Point is, I can not understand why it is so hard for some owners to regularly update their listings every two month. At least with the use of a script there is no excuse. Updating over 100 listings manually, might not be such a good idea altogether - but I do not think that without a script I would be running this many listings.

Currently I am working on finishing my latest four approvals.

In Songs: Bands/Groups 0-M I got Depeche Mode: Walking in my shoes and Garbage: The World is not Enough because nobdoy else applied for it - can you believe that? Those songs are awesome!

At the HatelistingsNetwork I applied and was also quickly approved for Dubbing and Laugh Tracks - because I hate those with the fiery passion of a thousands suns or however that quote went.

While I am still not through re-adding all those buttons to the fanlistings (simply because I need to make new ones, as I carelessly deleted the fugly old ones ...) I have re-vamped and moved many listings in the past days and I am pondering applying for three listings that have been on my mind for some time.

Two in Songs: Bands/Groups 0-M and the other in Characters: TV ... oh what to do?

Updated the categories on my joined listings page ... it almost took forever and I spotted so many listings that had been removed already. Which means I should make a joined links update, too. Listings come and go so fast, it sometimes seems like I am never going to have everything updated to current links.

With this regular update on the first of all member's list (unfortunately not due to actual members joining) I hope I can get back on schedule. The past months have been either busy or gifted me with a slow connection, sometimes both.

Maybe a few more fans will find their way this year to the smaller fanlistings for those many subjects from forgotten fandoms I run.

Ah, I found the missing fanlistings - forgot to re-insert 96-99 and thus I was four listings short on the count.

Which I guess should be time enough to pause and realise that I am owning 124 fanlistings. Some do need new layouts and so on - however as long as I am capable of mainting the list and everything works, I do not feel too bad about this.

Many would not even have a listing and as I have already seen very dedicated owners dropping from the face of the internet world and the listings just fading away, I also do not feel bad about not adopting out just because I have been approved for a wishlister in the same fandom. Not to mention that many listings I own probably would not find a new owner anyway.

Anyone who feels differently is free to comment and tell me about it.

It was about time, for over a year the new update has been out and I have been avoiding it.

But now I figured out how to do it smoothly. I re-installed Enth, FanUpdate and CodeSort to a new database, re-uploaded everything there and now I can change the config file one by one and the fanlistings will be up and running and all I might have to do is to re-insert a few members that will join while I am in the process.

It might take a while, as I think I forgot to upload a few things in the sql dumb - as I changed a few things and had a few errors ... like installing the TAFL categories. Resulting in my listings being under the wrong category. More when I am through chaning everything.

Also, got approved for Priest and [+] Bloodpack from Blade II - my favourite character group and my second favourite member from it. Of course I already own my favourite one: Reinhardt

Just made a small update for my wishlist - I can't deny any more just how fond I have become of Dean from Supernatural, so I put him on. Not that I think I have much of a chance of ever getting him - but it is a wish list, isn't it?

Also updated the ideas list - after all I did apply for A taste of Blood Wine and Ivanhoe (1952).

And I would so apply for more, but I did promise myself to work on the buttons issue and re-vamping some listing with not so pretty layouts first.

No posts this year - so I thought I mention the state of things.

Currently I am working on stuff for the university. Inbetween, I am updating those listings where nobody has joined - but I am in no hurry as I did the last update 4-5 weeks ago, so I am still covered. Not to mention some listings got new members, not just those who get them regularly.

I finished the fanlisting for A taste of Blood Wine by Freda Warrington - so I only have two other applications pending: both Blade II related. The fanlisting for Priest (my 2nd favourite Bloodpack member) and the listing for the pack itself. Could not resist. Part of me is sad that they have been removed ... hopefully some of the members will re-join. (Yeah, I guess I am pretty much counting on being approved, as they are not exactly highly popular subjects although they should be. Hell, the Bloodpack should get their own movie!)

Great, so I hurt my neck and I can not sit for long at the computer - but it is getting better. However, my plans to dish out some more new buttons and make screencaps for new layouts (cause my old ones are too few to be of use) are delayed.

Troubles updates are not on hold however and two more character fanlistings have been removed that are simply irresistable. Not to mention LOST BOYS was closed. Of course I had to apply, this movie is so awesome - I am not sure what is worse, seeing the first one being removed for troubles with almost 700 members or this one just being closed.

Currently I got 5606 listed at my collective. 481 of these are donated codes for fanlistings, 39 are for my fanlistings collective and 5126 are buttons made by me for my listings.

As I got currently 121 fanlistings that makes about roughly 42 codes per fanlisting. Including the donated codes that would be about 46 codes per listing. However, currently 43 listings have no buttons, 4 have only donated buttons leaving 74 listings with buttons made by myself.

That means the current avarage of codes for listings with buttons is 69 codes, with donations that is about 72 codes per listing.

Yes, I know 43 listings without buttons - but I am working on it. But the old ones were just too fugly - I deleted them all thinking I be much faster with re-creating them. While I like making codes, at one point you just need to take a break from it.

While I should be learning for university I found myself hindered by ongoing headache and other stuff.

For some reason I found the creative energies for two new layouts, lots of new buttons.

However, I am ashamed to say, a lot of my fanlistings are still without codes. I thought I'd be quicker with re-uploading and re-creating of codes but it takes longer. My sincerest apologies for that. But I am working on it and the new buttons will be sooo much prettier, I promise.

As far as moving the fanlistings goes - I am not even halfway though but then again I am in no hurry. This is move is just a measure to help me keep things more organised. I know link changes are a bit annoying - but I do keep a 404 page handy where people who click on the dead links will end up and they can find their way from there.

I know, I promised myself I would not apply for more fanlistings till I got buttons back up for 80% of my listings - but I feel so depressed right now and I just had to apply for one of my favourite vampire romance novels. With all this medicore Twilight crap not only taking out the romance out of vampires but the bite as well, I feel like clinging on a bit to my favourite gerne.

How I long to read this book again - but it is sitting on my shelf at home. Nevermind, I will be there in less than 9 days.

Now, I try to be good girl and use this down phase to give a bit of love to my dearly beloved subjects. I am nearly done re-vamping the Imhotep fanlisting.

Already another approval, this time for Ivanhoe - the version with Elizabeth and Robert Taylor!

I am so thrilled - I hope I can finish it this weekend, as I need a bit longer to figure out things about the location of the Derek Morgan fanlisting!

'What is wrong with me? I saw the fanlisting for Sewing was not longer there and without even hesitating I applied. OMG - I love sewing. At first I just saw as a necessary evil (well maybe not evil - let's say bother) if I ever wanted trouser that are long enough, dresses that are just millimeters over the ground and so on ...

Then I started learning it and it is soooo much fun - not just wearing the stuff later on but the whole creating. Sewing is soooo great.

I registered a new domain - I intend to use it for my Criminal Minds related fanlistings and also to collect fanart and possible more in detail information on episodes and a screencap gallery.

But first of all I need to think about how to organise things, so there will be a very simple version up soon and then I expand it from there. The main focus will like on the two fanlistings I was approved for: the one for Derek Morgan and the one I already finished for Aaron Hotchner.
